Popcorn is a Cinema Sales company wholly owned by Nu Metro, and represents 40% of the cinema market. They are responsible for the advertising sales for all 35mm, 2D and 3D screens, and for selling and activating foyers of all 28 complexes, and 284 Screens nationally (including @movies & CineCentre).

They are also responsible for the design of all Nu Metro Entertainment design requirements (DVD & Gaming Sleeves, Posters, POS, Adverts, Web Banners).

Their client base includes Nu Metro Home Entertainment (Disney, Warner Bros, Independent Studios, BBC, Paramount, Sony, MNET, Universal), Nu Metro Cinemas, Nu Metro Interactive, Exclusive Books, Exclusives.co.za, DSTV, Eskom, LG and Sunday Times.

Popcorn has developed its own world class proprietary Sales and Scheduling system, proprietary Digital Advertising Solution. It offers clients production facilities and also executes private functions and corporate events.

Their staff complement consists of five DTP Operators working from the initial brief to the final repro including , layout and design work & Web design, Multimedia Design, Flash animation, Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop Adobe design Adobe Illustrator Adobe Acrobat / Distiller Macromedia and Freehand Quark Express; and seven dedicated members who handle client relationships, new business development and the daily operations of the business.

Popcorn was voted the Leading Cinema Media Owner by the advertising industry for its sales team in 2009 and its general managers have won 5 Cannes media Lions for cinema.
