If you want to learn the skills required for journalism of the future, are a team player, an Internet-savvy graduate and have excellent English language skills, we’d like to meet you.

We would like it even more if you have sound general knowledge, good humour, the ability to work hard, a love of news and journalism and the ability to come up with ideas suitable for a range of media. We’re also interested in people who want to focus on financial and business journalism in the long term. It will be to your advantage if you have a driver’s licence.

If you’re successful in your application to the The Avusa Newww.Training Internship run by the Avusa Pearson Journalism Training Programme you will have the chance to report for great news sites and publications, produce multimedia stories, and see your stories and ideas come to life in many different ways throughout 2010.

Our internship runs from January to December 2010. A stipend will be paid to successful candidates. Preference will be given to suitable candidates who will add to the diversity of Avusa.

"Is social networking useful for Journalists?"

The essay must be typed using a computer and must demonstrate evidence of research. It must include facts and quotes from people and be written in a clear and coherent style.
